As a major first steps toward CSR, The JBTCares Foundation have entered into MOU with Indian Red Cross Society on 1st August 2014. Accordingly JBTCares Foundation will bear the expanses of Indian Red Cross Society’s Thalassemia Center for five years period from 2014-15 to 2018-19. The JBTCares Foundation shall donate sum of Rs 20, 00,000/- to Thalassemia Centre for providing medical treatment, facilities, equipment’s, blood transmission & medicines for thalassemia affected patients who could not afford the expenses. Annually about 250+ beta-thalassemia patients receive free blood transfusions under this partnerships.

Naming Ceremony of Prof. N.D. Kamat Thalassemia Centre: The Thalassemia Center Rasta Peth Pune, run by Indian Red Cross Society was named after Prof. N.D. Kamat on 27th November 2014 at the hands of Mrs. Vimal Kamat,  wife of late Prof. N.D. Kamat. Dr. Satish Kamat & Mrs. Suneeta Kamat were the guest of honor for the function.
